Monika concentrates her practice on public finance transactions involving charter schools in numerous states, where she is experienced acting as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, issuer’s counsel, bank counsel and underwriter’s counsel.

Monika focuses on charter school financings, including new money and refunding financings, multi-state and multi-campus financings, direct loan financing, publicly and privately offered financings and lease transaction financings. She has also worked on various other industrial revenue bond financings including housing, prison and health care.

  • Counseled The Industrial Development Authority Of The County Of Pima Education Facility Revenue Bonds (Edkey Charter Schools Project) Series 2016 multi-campus financing in Arizona; $31.3 million.
  • Assisted the California Public Finance Authority Charter School Lease Revenue Bonds (Epiphany Prep of School of San Diego Project) Series 2018 lease-structure financing in California; $5.5 million.
  • Aided California Municipal Finance Authority Charter School Lease Revenue Bonds (Sycamore Academy Project) Series 2014 lease-structure financing in California; $9.4 million.
  • Advised Public Finance Authority Education Revenue Bonds (North Carolina Charter Educational Foundation Project) Series 2016 lease-structure financing in North Carolina; $111 million.
