Jill E. Beathard

Jill Beathard is a litigation associate in the firm’s Denver office. Tackling complex commercial, trade secret, and contract disputes, Jill has become a zealous advocate for clients in depositions and mediations and has demonstrated skills in legal research and writing.

A former journalist, Jill is well-versed in the Colorado Open Records Act and related issues. In her final semester of law school, Jill wrote a paper, published by the Denver-based nonprofit Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition, on how Colorado could improve or legislate for better electronic records retention policies.

Jill participated in Denver Law’s Civil Litigation Clinic, defending against evictions and advocating for protection orders for indigent clients in Denver County Court. The Clinic provided Jill with hard skills in oral advocacy and client relationship-building even before she graduated law school. She has also continued to serve the needs of Denver’s indigent population through her involvement with the Colorado Poverty Law Project.

Jill served as a law clerk for Judge Sheila Rappaport in Denver District Court in the summer of 2017.
