Springfield employment law attorney Ashley Norgard has been named one of the Springfield Business Journal’s 2019 Most Influential Women. Now in its 20th year, the list of women honors those who are “at the top of their professional games and use their platforms to promote causes they care about.”
Ms. Norgard is a seasoned litigator who defends claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She also helps clients prevent claims through HR counseling, training of management and front-line employees, and drafting handbooks and employment agreements. Previously, she worked in project management for a global manufacturing company, and as the assistant editor of the French edition of a peer-reviewed research journal published by a military think tank.
In addition to appearing on this year’s list, Ms. Norgard has also been awarded Top Business Practitioner in the Women's Justice Awards from Missouri Lawyers Weekly; “40 Under 40" by the Springfield Business Journal; Leadership Springfield, Class 33; and she won the American Bar Association’s national mediation competition. She sits on the board of directors of the Springfield-Greene Co. Library District, and helped establish a young professional membership group for the Dickerson Park Zoo.
