Imaging and Transcript Specialist


The primary responsibilities are processing of imaging and CD/DVD duplication.



  • Determine the particular process for each project
  • Create documents from scans or digital conversion or paper copy
  • Perform OCR and early level quality control
  • Software manipulation of documents into a digital binder
  • Burn or copy CD or DVD media
  • Maintain a digital archive, billing log and server repositories
  • Troubleshoot equipment and software for service or maintenance
  • Transport boxes of documents and assists with shelving, filing and retrieval of documents (sometimes located at off-site storage facilities)
  • Assemble bound volumes by compiling and putting in order, cutting and pasting when necessary
  • Review bound volumes closing index for accuracy
  • Ship bound volumes to the bindery or to the client


  • Travel to deliver documents and other items as needed
  • Assist with telephone coverage for the department
  • Flexibility to work overtime
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly
  • Assist with other duties as assigned



  • High School education or equivalent


  • Minimum of one year general office experience
  • Knowledge of office machines and office software including Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with legal documents a plus
  • Accurate typing speed of 45 words per minute
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Complexity of Duties

  • Ability to determine which software to use, for what situation
  • Attention to detail and recognize a product of high quality
  • Patience and attention span must be high due to repetition
  • Ability to work quickly with a minimum of error
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to recognize and repair minor equipment problems
  • Must be able to handle confidential papers and information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to prioritize tasks

Physical Effort

  • Moderate amount of physical activity when moving boxes of documents or other materials
  • Normal effort of general office work typically bending, moving and lifting up to 25 pounds

  • Good interpersonal communication skills to interact with attorneys, support staff and vendors
