Sisera M. Dowdy, a partner in Kutak Rock LLP’s Washington, DC office and previously in the Atlanta office, has been nominated a Glenda Hatchett “Volunteer of the Year” by the Truancy Intervention Project. Before moving to the District, Ms. Dowdy had volunteered with the nonprofit for seven years, serving as pro bono counsel and mentor to 16 children charged with truancy and as an advocate to parents of grade school students in need of early intervention and truancy prevention plans.
