Ms. Powell is a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office. She represents domestic and foreign financial institutions in a wide range of lending transactions with a focus on public finance. Her practice includes the representation of lenders in connection with credit or liquidity support for publicly traded debt securities, the direct purchase of bonds and other debt securities and other forms of direct lending. Ms. Powell also represents banks in a variety of structured investment transactions involving financial products such as forward delivery agreements, repurchase agreements and investment agreements.

  • Represented bank as provider of $195,000,000 letter of credit facility to support the commercial paper and revenue notes program of a public utility.

  • Represented bank as provider of liquidity support for $157,000,000 of variable rate single family mortgage revenue bonds.
  • Represented bank as purchaser of $97,000,000 of variable rate bonds issued to finance the construction and operation of natural gas distribution mains.
