Mark Lasee, a partner in Kutak Rock LLP’s Scottsdale office, offers 25 years of legal experience in a wide variety of business and real estate matters. While his practice focuses on major transactions, Mr. Lasee’s background in commercial litigation gives him a unique perspective in negotiating and drafting contracts, conducting due diligence and helping parties achieve their transaction goals. Mr. Lasee’s real estate experience includes negotiating purchase and sale agreements and office, industrial and retail leases, undertaking real estate and equipment-based financing transactions for a national lender and, more recently, performing due diligence in the purchase of a $100 million shopping center. He also has guided mid-market clients through the purchase and sale of companies in most major industries, with an emphasis in construction-oriented businesses. Mr. Lasee is a member of the Kutak Rock National Pension Practice Group, which represents plans in several states, his focus being on real estate and private equity investments. Mr. Lasee is also a member of the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys. He has represented investors in well over $300 million worth of domestic and offshore deals. Mr. Lasee is a frequent speaker on business and legal topics related to real estate, construction, business formation, buy-sell agreements and business-oriented estate planning. He has held leadership roles in several community organizations, recently forming the Arizona Sailing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to teaching sailing to underprivileged children. Mr. Lasee is certified by the Arizona State Bar as a Real Estate Specialist and is a member of the Real Estate and Probate Section of the American Bar Association, the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has earned an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating that independent organization confers. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota (inactive) and Arizona. |
