Ms. Leflar is a member of the firm’s litigation department. She represents corporate clients in commercial, employment, professional negligence, and class action disputes. She has defended individual and class action lawsuits involving contracts, deceptive trade practices, regulatory and statutory violations, intentional torts, negligence, and default judgments. Ms. Leflar has experience counseling clients on proactive risk management strategies, handling government investigations, and conducting pre-suit corporate compliance investigations. She also has experience drafting arbitration agreements, working to enforce them, and representing clients in arbitration.

In addition, Ms. Leflar has significant appellate law experience and has successfully obtained positive results on appeals in state and federal court. Her appellate practice encompasses crafting legal arguments at the trial court level, consulting on trial strategy, assisting with post-trial motions, advising clients on the likelihood of success on appeal, and drafting appeal briefs, motions and petitions.

Ms. Leflar’s article, “Reviving the Privilege Doctrine: The Appealability of Orders Compelling the Production of Privileged Information,” 64 Ark. L. Rev. 283 (2009), is cited in explanation of the 2012 Amendments to Arkansas Rule of Appellate Procedure 2(f), which now permits limited interlocutory appeals to protect privileged information.
