Mark focuses on litigation in the healthcare and construction industries and has been lead counsel in more than 40 jury trials.

Mark, the Chair of the Arkansas Regional Litigation Department, focuses his practice on healthcare, construction, commercial and employment litigation. He represents individual healthcare providers and institutions in matters ranging from medical malpractice defense to nursing home and long-term care defense. He represents clients in all aspects of construction, employment and commercial litigation. Mark has first-chair jury trial experience in both state and federal courts and appellate oral argument experience in the Arkansas Court of Appeals, Arkansas Supreme Court, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

  • Representation of general surgeons and their clinics in numerous jury trials involving surgical complications or alleged surgical errors, including claims of wrongful death.
  • Representation of emergency room physicians in numerous jury trials including trials involving alleged failure to diagnose or improper diagnosis, including claims of wrongful death.
  • Representation of neurosurgeons in multiple jury trials alleging surgical errors or alleged surgical complications, including claims of wrongful death.
  • Representation of hospitals in numerous jury trials involving labor and delivery, medical device failures, and injury to patient admitted to a geriatric-psych unit, including claims of wrongful death.
  • Representation of general dentist in jury trial alleging failure to diagnose and treat abscess.
  • Representation of long-term care facilities in numerous jury trials and arbitrations regarding claims of abuse and neglect, including claims of wrongful death.
  • Representation of numerous healthcare providers and specialties including oncology, family practice, radiology, anesthesiology, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, general surgery, neurosurgery, dentistry, ambulance companies, paramedics and EMTs in matters that did not result in jury trials.
  • Representation of numerous national and international companies in jury trials relating to premises liability.
  • Representation of numerous national companies in jury trials involving commercial litigation.
  • Representation of employers in jury trials relating to employment litigation.
