Complex Commercial Litigation
Jim’s current commercial litigation practice centers around nationwide class-action, multi-defendant, multi-district anti-trust cases. He also has extensive experience with patent infringement litigation in numerous jurisdictions, including the Eastern District of Texas. Clients also turn to Jim for litigation involving contract disputes, unfair and deceptive trade practices issues, and franchise and dealer disputes. His clients include companies in the financial services industries, food and industrial products manufacturers, transportation-related companies, and dealer/distribution networks representing a wide variety of products and services.
Franchise, Dealer and Distribution
Jim provides transaction assistance to both franchisors and franchisees, including the preparation, filing and review of Uniform Franchise Offering Circulars and franchise agreements. He also drafts and negotiates a wide range of manufacturing, co-packing, supply and related distribution agreements, as well as intellectual property licensing, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements. He also litigates franchise, dealer and distributor disputes.
