Ms. Andrews, a partner in the Omaha office, conducts a practice in complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on lender liability, business tort, commercial liability, contractual and general negligence claims. Ms. Andrews has handled complex litigation matters on behalf of clients that include major financial and lending institutions, mortgage companies, product manufacturers and municipalities. Her practice in mortgage banking and financial services-related matters involves experience in defense of class actions, claims as to loan fraud origination, claims of negligence and intentional misconduct as to loan servicing, and defense relating to alleged violations of TILA, RESPA, the FDCPA, HAMP and TCPA, among others. She also has significant class action experience that involves the defense of class certification and the administration of class action settlements.

Ms. Andrews has varied experience in all aspects of litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including complex discovery, law and motion, trials, arbitration and mediation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 1997 from Loyola Marymount University and her law degree, cum laude, in 2002 from Creighton University School of Law, where she was Assistant Editor of the Creighton University Law Review and President of the International Moot Court board. She served as a judicial clerk for the Fourth Judicial District of Iowa and has authored several articles for publication including “Saving Preemption: A Conflict Preemption Quandary Resolved in Geier v. American Honda Motor Co., Inc.,” Transportation Law Journal, vol. 32, no. 3, Summer 2005.

  • Representing mortgage banking entities in defense of claims as to loan origination and servicing, and in defense of alleged violations of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, HAMP and TCPA.
  • Representing governmental entities in matters relating to contracts, land use, tort liability, zoning and general tort liability.
  • Managing litigation in toxic tort and product liability matters.
  • Handling appellate issues in the California Courts of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit.
