Buck is the managing partner of the firm's Omaha Regional offices.

Buck represents clients in a variety of real estate, corporate, transactional and non-profit organization matters, with an emphasis in the areas of commercial real estate acquisition, disposition, leasing and development and a particular focus on healthcare real estate transactions. He has negotiated and closed numerous transactions, representing both national, regional and local health systems and national real estate development companies actively involved in the acquisition, development, financing and construction of medical real estate. In addition, Buck has experience representing hospital clients in connection with hospital/physician joint venture real estate transactions as well as medical facility leasing and lease compliance matters under applicable healthcare laws and regulations, including federal tax-exempt status, the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback. He also has experience in retail big-box and out-lot development, development and construction contracting and commercial office, retail and shopping center leasing.

In addition to his real estate practice, Buck represents nonprofit organizations, including both private foundations and public charities, on a variety of tax and other related matters, including nonprofit formation and governance, compliance, IRS private letter rulings, unrelated business income tax issues, conflicts of interest, joint venture structuring alternatives and general contracting matters.

  • Representing national, regional and local healthcare systems in their acquisition, disposition, monetization, leasing and third-party development of medical real estate. 
  • Serving as lead counsel to New Jersey health care system in the negotiation and closing of transactions with national medical facility developer for development and construction of three ambulatory care centers in excess of 650,000 total square feet.
  • Serving as lead outside real estate counsel to national and regional healthcare systems in the acquisition and disposition of hospital facilities and multi-campus healthcare facilities.
  • Serving as lead outside real estate counsel in the lease of “hospital within a hospital.”
  • Representing national medical facility developer in the acquisition, development, construction, ownership and leasing of medical real estate facilities.
  • Representing multiple real estate joint ventures involving hospitals and physicians in connection with syndication, acquisition, development and construction of medical facilities.
  • Representing national asset portfolio manager in the leasing of shopping center and commercial office assets.
  • Representing developers and end-users of large commercial/retail development projects.
