Tyler is a member of the firm’s Employee Benefits practice group and provides advice related to qualified retirement plans, group health plans, and other benefits provided to employees under multi-employer and single-employer plans. Tyler works with clients to address their compliance with a variety of federal laws and regulatory requirements, including:

  • ERISA (Employee Retirement Security Act of 1974)
  • Internal Revenue Code
  • PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act)
  • HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996)
  • COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus and Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985)

Tyler has focused on employee benefits throughout his career. Prior to entering private practice, he was an Investigator with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) in its Chicago Regional Office.
