Mr. Isler is an associate in the firm’s Denver office, practicing commercial and general civil litigation. He drafts and prepares pleadings, motions and other litigation-related documents, conducts research, assists with depositions and helps manage discoveries.

Prior to joining Kutak Rock, Mr. Isler served as the McCormick Foundation legal fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press in Washington, D.C., where he drafted a dozen amicus briefs for the Second, Fourth, Ninth, and D.C. Circuits, in addition to state appellate courts, and helped to litigate several federal lawsuits on behalf of journalists and media companies. As a former journalist, Mr. Isler brings significant writing experience to his law practice.

Following his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Mr. Isler spent two years as a law clerk to Chief Judge Jerome Simandle of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. During law school, Mr. Isler interned for The Hon. Kermit Lipez of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He also served as senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and earned the Benjamin R. Jones Award for outstanding contribution to the public interest.
