Mr. Britschgi concentrates his practice in the area of derivatives associated with municipal finance and securitization transactions. He devotes a significant portion of his time to representing major financial guaranty insurance companies in connection with various derivatives transactions including interest rate swaps, interest rate caps and floors, interest rate collars, forward starting swaps, swaptions, and credit default swaps. These transactions have included municipal finance transactions in the areas of health care, higher education, transportation and utilities and structured finance transactions backed by automobile, mortgage and student loan pools. Mr Britschgi also has represented swap dealers, municipalities and other institutional issuers in connection with swap transactions.

In addition, he has experience as a general corporate and business law practitioner. In his corporate practice, Mr. Britschgi has experience with finance transactions, securities regulations, mergers and acquisitions, and general business transactions. He has represented public and private issuers in a variety of matters, including private placements of equity and debt securities and SEC registrations, reporting and compliance. In addition, he has prepared and negotiated a variety of transaction documents involving business sales and acquisitions, distribution arrangements, manufacturing agreements, marketing agreements, licensing transactions, shareholder relationships, and other general business matters.
