Kutak Rock, nationally recognized in employee benefits law in both the public and private sectors, offers new legal services for employers who sponsor 401(k), pension, and other forms of retirement plans.

The new service is called the Retirement Plan Opinion Letter program (RPOL). The RPOL program fills a gap left by the Internal Revenue Service when it ceases certain services next January (2017) that historically assured employers of the tax qualification of their retirement plans. Kutak Rock's RPOL program will offer an annual review and opinion letter regarding the tax qualification of the retirement plan.　 The RPOL program will also include recommendations for best practices, simplify employers' work with lenders, help save costs during retirement plan audits, mitigate penalties often associated with plan qualification, and generally offer peace of mind to employers that their retirement plan documents follow Internal Revenue Code requirements.
