Kutak Rock partners Michael McDonnell and Bradley Boyer collaborated to assist a major design firm in connection with a dispute securing additional insured benefits from an insurance carrier who had agreed by virtue of certain design and construction contracts to be the client’s primary and non-contributing insurer. Drawing on their various areas of experience, Boyer and McDonnell were able to quickly review and evaluate pertinent policy and project documents, draft correspondence and negotiate payment of outstanding fees and costs. Thereafter, they were able to assist KR’s client and their insurers in ensuring the additional insurance carrier’s meaningful participation in the settlement process and to ultimately resolve the significant claims being asserted against KR’s client.
