Ed Marquette Appointed Chair of Diversity Action Group for American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law

Kutak Rock attorney Ed Marquette has been appointed Chair of the Diversity Action Group in the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law for the upcoming 2017-2018 membership year. As Chair of the Diversity Action Group, Marquette will help facilitate discussion of emerging diversity issues that shape and influence the views and policies advocated by the Section, encourage the development of relevant programming and publications, and enhance recruitment and retention of Section members.

The American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law is the largest organization of intellectual property lawyers in the world, and its Action Groups serve as welcoming places for the nation’s intellectual property lawyers to develop collegial relationships and benefit from one another’s experience. Marquette's national intellectual property practice includes brand and trademark counseling, protection, and enforcement. He also assists in the drafting and negotiation of technology development agreements and strategic alliances among high-tech firms. Previously he served on the American Bar Association select Committee on the National Information Infrastructure and has previously chaired committees within the Section.
