Mariza McKee, a partner in Kutak Rock LLP’s Chicago office, authored “Emphasizing Self-Regulation,” an article that was published in the Regional Center Business Journal.

The article includes a process flowchart that was developed by the Invest in the USA (IIUSA) Compliance Committee, which McKee co-chairs. IIUSA is the national membership-based 501(c)(6) not-for-profit industry trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program.

The article and flowchart address how to report a violation of IIUSA’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, which were promulgated by IIUSA’s Best Practices Committee last year. McKee also served on the Best Practices Committee and assisted with the development of the code and standards, which expound the importance of reporting ethical violations in IIUSA’s self-regulated organization.

McKee concentrates her practice on the representation of private and public companies in securities and corporate matters. Her practice is specifically focused on structuring, negotiating and documenting EB-5 financings.
