Marc Lieberman, a partner at Kutak Rock LLP, has been selected by the Arizona Supreme Court to serve on the Court’s Committee on Character and Fitness for the next three years, effective January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2017. The Committee on Character and Fitness makes the final recommendation of bar admission in Arizona for all attorneys to the Arizona Supreme Court.

Mr. Lieberman withstood a competitive process to receive the appointment. Suggested nominees to the Committee were submitted to the Arizona State Bar, then all applicants were carefully screened and candidates were presented to the Arizona Supreme Court, which ultimately selected two lawyers for the available seats, as well as two lay, public members.

Mr. Lieberman, an "AV"-rated Super Lawyer®, Certified Real Estate Specialist (State Bar of Arizona) and Chair of Kutak Rock’s Public Pension and Alternative Investments Group, serves as outside counsel to many government retirement systems. Mr. Lieberman and his team have negotiated and documented more than $2 billion in real estate, private equity and hedge fund investments for public pension systems. They also have represented many government systems in connection with cases concerning nearly every aspect of their operations.
