Ms. Connolly is an attorney in the firm’s Denver office. She practices in the areas of commercial real estate and real estate financing. She serves on a team of attorneys representing investors in the financing of affordable housing projects utilizing low-income housing tax credits, and has experience representing a broad range of commercial clients, from national and regional lending institutions, to borrowers, real estate investment trusts, developers, and property owners in a variety of commercial transactions, including the financing, acquisition, leasing and disposition of office buildings, multifamily developments, shopping centers, industrial buildings, mixed-use developments and vacant land.

Lisa routinely drafts and reviews loan documentation, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related documentation, examines title and survey and related due diligence matters, and facilitates the closing of real estate and lending transactions. She has also assisted clients with their corporate formation needs.

Prior to joining the firm, Lisa also worked as an associate at Stinson Leonard Street LLP, as a transactional real estate attorney at two Denver area law firms, and as a contract criminal defense attorney.

Representative Experience

  • Represents national and regional lenders in a variety of multimillion-dollar commercial loan transactions, including loan originations and refinances involving permanent and construction loan financing secured by commercial real estate.
  • Represented national and regional lenders in commercial loan workouts through loan modifications, forbearances and foreclosures.
  • Served on a team of attorneys in the representation of publicly traded specialty REIT in the acquisition and development of its unique, multimillion-dollar commercial real estate projects, including megaplex movie theaters and early childhood education facilities, located throughout the United States.
  • Represented publicly traded REIT in the acquisition of a 270,200 square foot, multi-tenant, industrial distribution center located in Greenville, SC.
  • Assisted in the representation of publicly traded REIT in the in the acquisition of a shopping center located in Narragansett, RI.
  • Represented developer in the acquisition of vacant land for use as a parking lot.
  • Represented developer in the acquisition of platted residential lots.
