News | November 17, 2016

Kutak Rock recently served as bond counsel to the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority on financings for Vail Mountain School and Kent Denver School, and as underwriter’s counsel on a financing for the Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain. The firm assisted the three independent schools in lowering their cost of capital by accessing the tax-exempt bond market. Kutak Rock attorneys Fred Marienthal, Jennifer Barrett and Larry Carlile worked on these transactions.

The Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority (Authority) originally was established by the Colorado General Assembly to provide affordable capital financing for colleges and universities. The Authority has extended its service to other educational institutions and a wide variety of cultural entities. For more information about the Authority, please click here.

In the past five years, Kutak Rock has participated in 75 independent school financings totaling $1.1 billion.
