Courtney is a member of the firm's tax credit practice group. Her tax credit experience includes transactional work involving low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, state tax credits and renewable energy tax credits, as well as other related state and federal financing products. Courtney also has experience working on commercial real estate transactions, focusing on real estate sales and acquisitions, real estate development, sale/leaseback transactions and real estate financing. 

Courtney acts as the primary tax counsel for banks, insurance companies, private equity investors and tax credit syndicators in the acquisition and financing of lower-tier affordable housing projects. She has facilitated more than $1 billion of equity investments in various low-income and historic tax credit projects throughout the United States. Courtney's practice requires her to perform all due diligence related to the investment, draft and negotiate equity documents, review and revise loan and bond documents and prepare and finalize tax opinions. Her practice primarily emphasizes corporate, partnership and LLC law, as well as federal and state tax law.
