Community Involvement

Since the founding of the firm, Kutak Rock attorneys have had a deep commitment to giving back to our communities through our volunteer, pro bono and charitable engagement programs. Our attorneys serve on more than one hundred boards of directors across the country, donate thousands of hours of pro bono legal services annually and provide significant financial support to the worthy nonprofits that weave the fabric of our community support systems.

From national pro bono initiatives to local direct service volunteer programs, we strive to make a lasting impact on the hundreds of nonprofits that we work with every year. One example of our national initiatives is the Holocaust Survivors' Project started in 2008 and administered by the Bet Tzedek Holocaust Survivors Justice Network. Our attorneys and paralegals assist Holocaust survivors living in the United States to receive a one-time payment or pension from the German government as compensation for their time spent in the concentration camps.

Locally, each of our 16 offices organizes a variety of volunteer and pro bono opportunities ranging from mentoring challenged teenagers, organizing Adopt-A-Family gift programs during the holidays, coordinating clothing and food drives for homeless shelters, donating legal expertise to dozens of nonprofit organizations, and participating in fundraising walks and drives.

With so many individuals in need across the nation, we feel it is our responsibility to give back with volunteer time and financial contributions. Our commitment runs through every level of our firm, from executive management to support staff, and is one of the pillars of our firm’s value system.
