Book Review: Wrap Contracts: Foundations and Ramifications

Publications - Article | July 29, 2014

Kutak Rock attorney Fred Marienthal authored a review of the book “Wrap Contracts: Foundations and Ramifications,” by Nancy S. Kim. The review was published in the August 2014 issue of The Colorado Lawyer.

Marienthal explains wrap contracts are used as cyberspace contracts that often favor the nondrafting party. By way of example, he states internet users often mindlessly agree to complex contractual terms with the simple click of a mouse. Marienthal emphasizes his agreement with Kim that wrap contracts need more legislative intervention. He commends the author on successfully making a book on wrap contracts enjoyable and describes the content as provocative and well-researched.
