Our employee benefits practice provides significant support to the Banking and Financial Institutions Practice. Particular emphasis is on ensuring banking regulatory compliance for the growing number of plans, programs and contractual arrangements in use by financial institutions as well as ensuring appropriate treatment of such programs in the context of mergers and acquisitions. We provide a full complement of services including those related to ESOPs, pension, profit sharing, 401(k), welfare, qualified and nonqualified stock and multiemployer plans. In addition, for clients subject to TARP restrictions (or that acquire an institution subject thereto), the firm provides advice on relevant ongoing compensation and benefits restrictions.
