Ms. Blumenthal is a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Her litigation experience extends to a variety of matters including insurance coverage, complex commercial litigation and contract disputes, construction defect litigation, employment discrimination, and planned community litigation. Ms. Blumenthal actively represents insurance companies in coverage related litigation and contractors in construction-related disputes and personal injury defense matters. Ms. Blumenthal is also experienced in handling employment discrimination matters and in counseling clients relative to employee discipline and performance management. In addition, Ms. Blumenthal has been involved in the national defense of clients on mass tort claims, including asbestos and benzene matters. She works with corporate witnesses and experts from a wide range of disciplines, and charts the course of discovery and trial strategy.

In the course of her practice, Ms. Blumenthal has handled many aspects of civil litigation, ranging from pre-litigation counseling, to discovery and dispositive motion practice, to settlement conferences and negotiations, to trial advocacy. Ms. Blumenthal has appeared before state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She earned her bachelor’s degree cum laude from Cornell University in 2002 and her law degree from William and Mary School of Law in 2007, where she was in the top 10% of her class. During law school, she served as a notes editor for the William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law and as the teaching assistant for the Trial Advocacy course.

Ms. Blumenthal serves as a certified arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and as a mediator with the Philadelphia Lawyer-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Program. She is a board member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Fee Dispute Committee and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. She has presented at several conferences, including DRI’s Personal Injury Practicum.

Ms. Blumenthal is actively involved as a volunteer and fundraiser for the National Alzheimer’s Association and also volunteers with the Cornell University and William and Mary Law School Alumni Admissions Ambassador Networks. She is an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and lives in Philadelphia with her husband (a Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney) and their two young sons.
