Mr. Engelkamp, an associate in the firm’s Omaha office, concentrates his practice in employee benefits law. He focuses his practice in the creation, administration, and design of qualified retirement plans including defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, and employee stock ownership plans. He also oversees the correction of plan errors using Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor Programs.

Mr. Engelkamp also devotes his practice to health and welfare plans. In this role, he aids clients with the drafting of plan documents and SPDs for wrap plan documents, and advises employers with respect to state and local laws, such as paid leave ordinances.

He published an article in the Spring 2018 issue of Benefits Law Journal titled "Approaching Paid Sick Leave: Compliance or Preemption?"
